Travelling

Some voyages are carefully planned
Possessions packed
Paperwork gathered
Valuables worn close
Goodbye kisses
The destination chosen with care.

Other journeys arrive unannounced
Save for the blast
The guns in the night
The thundering door
Rape and killings
The only destination elsewhere.

Yet both end here
Under blue skies and sunshine
Floating gently in warm water
Facing down.
